Certainly Not The A-Team

Trump’s Cabinet was already atrocious, overflowing with obsequious fools who seem bent on destroying the country and constitution they swore to protect. Yet, Trump outdid himself. Todd Blanche has already been an atrocious Acting Attorney General. He won’t be any better moving forward as the real AG.

He’ll continue to protect pedophiles by obstructing the release of the Epstein Files. He’ll continue to further the corruption that is the Trump Administration. He’ll work to outlaw abortion throughout the country, states’ rights be damned. And he’ll demolish the wall that is supposed to exist between the Department of Justice and the White House as if it was getting in the way of a ballroom.

Given his track record, it’s hard to expect anything better from Trump than further stacking his clown car cabinet with additional Bozos. But the Senate doesn’t have to go along with this. A handful of Republicans could put a stop to it. Cassidy and Cornyn both lost their Senate seats because of Trump. They owe him no personal favors. They know that Blanche is not qualified. Cassidy all but said so when announcing he was a Yes vote for Blanche’s nomination. To simplify his message, Cassidy voted for Blanche because Trump might nominate someone worse. Now that’s a profile in courage.

In short, Trump’s cabinet is Certainly Not The A-Team and it is the fault of the cowards that make up the Republican Senate majority. And now, with Todd Blanche as a full member, it’s only gotten worse.
