Distractions

These are crazy times. And that seems to be the point. Trump knows if you rain down enough crazy that folks won’t know where to look. Given the number of places he would rather go unexplored, this requires more than a spring shower. This calls for a Biblical-level downpour of distractions. Or what historians will refer to as the second Trump administration.

Distractions notes that each distraction needs its own distraction. The result is a less-than-virtuous circle of insanity for which “batshit” is an adequate adjective. I kept this strip to four panels, but there are enough examples of Trump-level crazy that the first draft was heading toward a record length for a Sketchier.

Some were hard to cut. Remember pardoning a South American narco-dictator he liked days before snatching a South American narco-dictator he didn’t? Or threatening to invade Greenland? Or … well, that’s the point. It’s a long list. And it’s getting longer every week. Sigh.
