GOP

The Republican Party used to stand for something. Not necessarily the right things, but things. Now it exists to protect and promote a convicted felon, adjudicated sexual abuser, friend of convicted pedophiles and nascent dictator. GOP simply points out that the Grand Old Party ain’t so grand anymore. Oh, and also that the president was best friends with a convicted pedophile, contributed a vile letter to the pedophile’s birthday book, and now wants us to believe it was a Democratic hoax — from 20 years ago by some apparently far-sighted Dems. Yeah.

GOP is also my first single panel toon. Sketchiers don’t lend themselves to this format, but this joke did. It was kind of fun. Again, because of the limited artwork I usually need more set-up, but I enjoyed doing this one as a change of pace.
