The essay
The last few days have been even stranger than usual. The personification of what’s good in the world passed while the emblem of all that is rotten continues to bumble around the White House. Nepal is devastated by a horrendous flash flood and debris flow. The cruelty that is ICE and Stephen Miller continues unabated, yet is less reported. We still don’t have the Epstein Files, but we do have a trade war with Canada. Strange times, indeed.
In the midst of all this, Sketchier HQ was about to launch our newest bot, Saint AI: Heavenly Gatekeeper. Given all that was going on, we thought about delaying the release until the right time came along. Then the craziness continued:
The Supreme Court signaled it may support the end of democratic elections.
The CIA Director visited Moscow to confer with his counterparts for reasons not shared with the public, but perhaps aimed at warning Russia not to interpret the way America has conducted the Iran War as an invitation to invade Europe.
A corrupt son-in-law of a corrupt president visited with the (hopefully) future Speaker of the House.
And the list goes on indicating that the “right times” are an endangered species. Godot will get here sooner than the right times show up.
So we decided to move forward. Then we doubled down with He Is Pretty Ineffable. This strip pays tribute to Dolly Parton, insults the national embarrassment that is Donald Trump, notes the pain in Nepal and in immigrant families, and, yes, promotes the Saint AI: Heavenly Gatekeeper bot. Speaking of which …
Mark Twain once said “heaven for climate, hell for company.” But he couldn’t anticipate that company would, eventually, include the Trump Corruption and Cruelty Cartel.
This makes the Saint AI: Heavenly Gatekeeper bot even more important. It helps you determine understand whether you’re going to spend eternity with the Trump Administration (that would be in Hell)( or with the likes of Dolly Parton (we’re talking Heaven, here). Best of all, you can retake the 10-question survey as often as needed. There are nearly 100 trillion possible versions of the questionnaire. (Really). Coincidentally, 100 trillion is the number of angels who can dance on the head of a pin, in case you were wondering.

P.S. The White House AI Press Assistant is still thinking about applying for the vacant press secretary job. Ask it a few questions and see for yourself whether it’s up to the task.
