Both
At The Same Time, No Less

The essay
During the campaign, the Epstein files definitely existed. Presumably, they were real while sitting on Pam Bondi’s desk, too. Then they didn’t exist. Nothing to see here. Then they were back. Then they were gone. Then back again. Clearly, these are no ordinary records. They’re quantum files.
That’s where Both started. But as often happens, the subject of the strip morphed during creation. In this case it went from the uncertainty of whether the files exist (because, c’mon, we know they do) to whether Trump is guilty or innocent. Of course we know he’s guilty, but I’d invested too much time to let reality ruin a theoretical physics joke.
Given what’s happening in Congress and Trump’s new found zeal to disclose the formerly non-existent Epstein files, we’d be forgiven for believing we’ll soon find out what’s in the files. But we’ll be disappointed. Trump and his minions will find lots of ways to delay their release.
Which means, for now, based on my Quantum Mechanics for Dummies understanding of these things, Trump is theoretically both guilty and innocent. In reality? No innocent person fights this hard to keep something secret. So, I’m guessing he’s guilty as sin. Or sinfully guilty. Your choice.
