Don't Give Him Ideas

Federal officers kill two civilians in Minneapolis. Before there’s any clear picture of what happened, Trump, Stephen Miller, and Kristi Noem label the victims as domestic terrorists out to murder law enforcement officers. The evidence proves that wrong, but the troika doesn’t back down.

Instead, they exclude local officials and the FBI from the investigation. They have the Border Patrol and ICE handle it all. Because that’s apparently how you roll when you’re conducting a cover-up, I guess.

But the video is what the video is. And the whole world knows the troika is lying. That means they have to do something to look like they care about finding out what happened. When you need someone who will get to the truth, who do you send to Minneapolis?

Not Tom Homan.

So that’s who they’re sending. You may know Homan as the bloviating “Border Czar.” Or as the guy who was videotaped getting a bag full of $50,000 in cash from FBI agents, a probable crime that the Trump administration is content to ignore.

Homan has never investigated anything like this before, but that’s OK. When the conclusion has been reached before he even gets to Minnesota, who cares?

If this works, I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see more sham investigations. Paging Ms. Maxwell.
