The essay
Inside the Administration, Episode 2 speaks for itself. This is an objectively incompetent Cabinet and White House staff. If these were sane times, none would ever have been nominated, let alone confirmed by U.S. Senators. These are not sane times, however, which is why the next couple of elections are so important.
Since the strip needs no explanation, let’s look behind the scenes at this Sketchier. If you’re not a fan of the Indiana Jones film series, the Nazi reference might seem gratuitous. Nat’s comment is a nod to Indy facing off against Nazis in three of the five films. That’s a lot of Nazis. And as he says in the third film (The Last Crusade), “Nazis. I hate these guys.” But the sad truth is, if a machine could see inside people, you’d find a lot more fascism than competence inside Trump’s gang. Way too many.
