The essay
A reader suggested I do a strip on Trump (through DOGE) firing 190 of the 200 people responsible for maintaining the National Mall only to have their work done by National Guard troops. The result is Like a Business, which (tries) to make several points: 1) the DOGE cuts cost more than they save; 2) it’s absurd to use trained soldiers for maintenance work instead of, you know, soldiering; and 3) Trump is a lousy business man. Without grift and the added oomph of being president, he’d be in big trouble. As it is gone through bankruptcy six times. Of course, he is president and he has used his office to increase his crime family’s net worth by billions of dollars, so he’s got that going for him.
