Long Way To Go

I confess. I asked Claude AI to help me pull together a list of some of the wacky things the Trump Administration has done in the past few months. I stopped it at 20 because: a) it was depressing remembering it all; and b) I only needed a few.

Long Way to Go reflects the theory that these are designed to distract from the Epstein files. I’m don’t think that’s the full story. A lot of it is attributable to Trump’s attention span, which makes squirrels look professorial. Combine that with an ego and id of a narcissistic, megalomaniacal man-child and of course his “policy” is erratic, dangerous, and foolish. Worse, there’s no one around to rein him in. More worseness: he’s surrounded by a cadre of sycophants who egg him on even when they know better (and that’s a very big if).

About that punchline. Do I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Trump is a pedophile? No, but a lot of people believe he is. In fact, grown men, with tears in their eyes have come to me and said, “Sir, I think Trump might be a pedophile.” (Or did they?)

Anyway, the effort Trump and his cronies (like Mike “Whatever You Say, Donny” Johnson) are putting into keeping the files secret certainly raises suspiciouns. After all, if he has nothing to hide, why hide them?

A word about this strip: I’ve been wondering if zooming out on the normally static background to reveal a second pair of characters would work. This strip, with Democratic characters fretting for two panels and the Republican characters gloating in the third, offered the chance to see. I think it came out well. Expect to see it again down the road.
