Predictable

I assume the military has been gaming out a war with Iran for decades. They must have known what was likely to happen. They would have plans for dealing with Iran’s counter-moves. They would have thought through how to avoid killing school children. Put simply, they would have been prepared.

Then along comes Dementia Don, his clown car cabinet, and servile staff. I imagine the military offered their plans to Trump and Pompous Pete. And I imagine these blowhards assumed they knew better. Any planning done before 2025 was assumed woke and lacking in manly virtues. So they did things their way.

Wars are complicated. It’s neither a game show nor a video game. It requires smart people doing smart things to wage it well. This Administration is so far from smart they can’t spell it. Hegseth is so vacuous he’s a walking insult to empty suits. The result was, dare I say, beyond Predictable. It was inevitable.

What’s most terrifying about all this is that America anointed Trump the leader of the free world. Which means all this is on us. After all, what would happen once we elected him a second time was predictable, too.
