The essay
I did a version of Circular Logic a few months, tens of billions of dollars, and four fewer US fatalities ago. The day before it was scheduled to be posted, however, Trump announced his Memo of (mis)Understanding with Iran, which undermined the point a bit. Sigh. Timing is everything.
Fortunately, I realized with Trump, the craziness is circular. The point is not resolution, but chaotic and constant movement. There’s no plan (and often no point) to what he says or does. He’s like an inept improv comedian with no sense of humor. Just a source of made-up nonsense. Unfortunately, his nonsense gets people killed.
Anyway, as was inevitable, the timeliness of Circular Logic quite appropriately rolled around again (as circular things often do).
