The essay
Trump may be hemorrhaging support, but there’s still a dwindling minority who are standing with him no matter what. Unfortunately for democracy, many of them are in Congress. They see the dementia. They experience the chaos. They hear from constituents. But they also saw the election results in Indiana where Trump and his allies successfully primaried six out of seven State Senators who stood up to Trump.
The result, as Perspectives points out, is that even when they agree, Democrats and Republicans can’t really agree. Sigh.
