The essay
The Trump Administration released tons of files on UFOs the other day. Apparently the only files they are unable to release are the Epstein files. I wonder why? It seems every political cartoonist is riffing off of this. Take Me To Your Leader is my modest contribution to the piling on.
The strip did get me thinking. What would I do if a cliché-spouting alien asked for directions to the planet’s leader? What would you do? On one hand, watching Trump deal with a spacefaring alien would be hilarious. On the other hand, Ethchier (as I call the green guy) may have come in peace, but five minutes talking to Trump and he’d probably incinerate the planet.
Personally I’d suggest it head to Ottawa to meet Canadian Prime Minister Carney. Or to Ukraine to meet President Zelenskyy. Anywhere but DC to meet … him. Anyway, let’s hope aliens wait until the orange guy has moved out of the White House to show up. That would be much better timing.
