The Ballroom Solution I

Political violence is never justified, but all too common. Until recently, what happened at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner this past Saturday was more often committed by right-wing radicals. In recent years data shows left-wing political violence is ascendant. Doesn’t matter who commits it. It’s wrong and needs to stop.

Instead of addressing this issue, Trump and his faithful minions have decided it’s the perfect vehicle to push for the ballroom. Which is … nuts. Of course, “nuts” also defines this president and his Administration, so there’s that.

The Ballroom Solution I pushes this inane strategy to the point of absurdity, which is still short of where the White House is likely to take it. It also implies that Trump has a bit of an edifice complex. It’s one thing to like building and buildings. It’s another to be insanely fixated on them. Too bad for America, we have a president who falls in the latter category.

Eagle-eyed readers, or at least those that read the strip’s headline, will have noticed that this is Option One. That’s because I created two strips related to the White House Ballroom.
