Defending the End of Democracy is Hard Work!
The essay
Yesterday’s strip required readers to be familiar with the Stranger Things universe. This one, unfortunately, is based on the reality we live in.
Vacation is a reminder that destroying democracy is hard work. Like many of you, I thought it would be harder. Clearly, it’s not.
If destroying democracy takes effort, so does defending it. If you haven’t attended a No Kings Rally or its like before, I hope you will support the next one. And if you live in California, please vote Yes on Proposition 50.
Finally, you may wonder why I’m not offering another Halloween-adjacent strip. One reason is the Stranger Things strip met that obligation. Second, what’s happening in Congress is scary enough.
